Spring One-Acts: Opening Night!

Last night, the cast of the Spring One-Acts opened up the doors to the public. As usual, people from all the Berkshire community, friends and family flooded the lobby, anxiously waiting for the theater doors to open. We had a large turnout of people, but since the show was only able to seat about 100 people, many were turned down. So if you're planning to see the show today, get here early!

The show commenced with the short play, Small Actors, a comical, yet heartwarming story of a girl who lies to her parents about getting the lead in the school play. The play It's Not You, It's Me got the audience laughing as Jack and Catherine repeatedly get dumped by many people. The third play, !Artistic Inspiration, received lots of laughs from the audience as two writers try to produce the worst play in America.

After the successful night, excited family members and friends congratulated us on the awesome performance. The entire cast felt accomplished and we can't wait for our next two shows! See you there!

It's officially official: the show is underway! Last night we opened the winter musical, Anything Goes. The theatre was roaring with laughter throughout the night and was constantly filled with wonderful songs. The play starts promptly at 7:30, so be there or be square! The costumes, set, lights, and everything else are finally coming together and we are making very good head way towards the second night. It is a $2 suggested donation at the door... and bring extra money for homemade goodies at intermission! Thanks to everyone for their tremendous support thought this process and we hope to see you all tonight or tomorrow night!

Opening Night!

As the Green Room began bustling with the sound of hairspray, flipping of scripts, voice warm-ups, and costume adjustments, the audience waited anxiously for the play to begin. Soon, when Merit told us that we had “Five minutes to places,” we knew it was time to get in character and attack!

As you may know, last night was Opening Night for “The Importance of Being Earnest.” After eight weeks of extensive warm-ups, rehearsals, hard work, and collaborate effort, we felt very prepared for the show. Everything that all of us had worked on lead to this very moment. It was time to show our audience what we are made of!

After the show, we had many audience members come up and remark how “the show was really awesome!” or compliment our “impressive British accents.” Overall, everyone had a great time and laughed a lot. However, the show could have not been made possible without the Stage Managers, Director, Assistant Director, Director of Tech, and everyone involved to make this production possible. If you do come to the show, we will have a very fun surprise at the end!
